Support Groups

It’s so helpful to be able to share your feelings and challenges with others who are in a similar place in their life. Our support groups meet on a regular basis and are facilitated by professional counselors. When you need someone to talk to who understands exactly what you mean, our support groups may be just the thing.

BCN Support Groups

  • This support group is facilitated by BCN Program Director Rachel Wallmeyer.

    3rd Monday of the month at 7:00 PM.

    Summary of groups:

    Both South towns support groups are open to anyone with a breast cancer diagnosis, or history. The goal of the groups is to provide support, education and community while fostering an environment of safety and comfort. Feel welcome to arrive 15 minutes early for our mix and mingle time between both south towns support groups.

    Metastatic Group 7pm:

    For those living with stage 4 breast cancer. Come join us to gain new insights, gain the support of others in a similar situation. Facilitated by BCN Program Director, Rachel Wallmeyer. Feel free to call or text Rachel with questions at 716-392-1457

    Stages 0-3 Breast Cancer Support Group 7pm:

    For those living with or previous diagnosis of stages 0-3 breast cancer. Join facilitator Karen Miller for support, guidance and a welcoming group of ladies. Questions? Please call BCN at 716-706-0060.

    Both groups are located at Trinity Episcopal Church in Hamburg, NY.

  • This group is for women living with Stage 4 breast cancer.

    Meetings are scheduled for the 1st Wednesday of the month at 12PM and is available in a hybrid format. A virtual only meeting occurs on the 3rd Wednesday at 7PM. To access the Zoom meetings, click here and use password 3297.

    About the Facilitator: Kathy Jeffries-Coppola has been with BCN for 6 years. She is a registered nurse and a license therapist.

  • This support group is for people aged 50 and up who are living in the aftermath of a breast cancer diagnosis. You may be in treatment, newly diagnosed, or in various stages of survivorship. There are many people like you and this group has been helpful to so many. This support is facilitated by Linda Bonczyk.

    The group meets at 6:30 PM on the 1st Wednesday of every month. The meetings are virtual via Zoom. To access, click here and use password 3297.

  • This support group is for people under 50 who are living in the aftermath of a breast cancer diagnosis. You may be in treatment, newly diagnosed, or in various stages of survivorship. There are many people like you and this group has been helpful to so many.
